Autumn again
Painted in a realist style, Autumn Again was created for the Academy of Fine Arts exhibition themed Autumn. In pouring rain, soggy house sparrows huddle among the branches of a lush apple tree, heavy with crisp red fruit. The painting captures the rich colours and textures of an autumn orchard, the drama of wet weather, and the small, charming resilience of birds in the season's downpour.
