Flat white city life
Painted in a cubist style, Flat White City Life was created in response to the exhibition theme Urban Forms: Cityscapes and City Life at the Academy of Fine Arts. Angular, abstract forms in the background evoke the energy and geometry of the city, while the central subject — a humble flat white — brings a touch of everyday urban ritual to the composition. A playful celebration of modern city life, caffeine included.
